National Brain Tumor Society

National Brain Tumor Society In 2013 a portion of the profits were donated to the National Brain Tumor Society - the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the brain tumor community in the United States. Since the 1980s, this group has been fiercely committed to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for people living with a brain tumor today and anyone who will be diagnosed tomorrow. This means effecting change in the system at all levels.

NBTS partners with leading experts in academia, industry, and government to understand the current challenges which have slowed progress, as well as identify the opportunities for scientific advancement and collaboration. This knowledge drives them to seize new oppotunties, fund only the most promising areas of research, and fight for policies that will support therapeutic progress and development, as well as provide better access to essential health care services for all brain tumor patients and survivors.

The following is the letter Zombie Pumpkins received after submitting our donation:

Dear Ryan,

It is with gratitude that we acknowledge your gift in support of the National Brain Tumor Society. Your contribution enables NBTS to bring together the best in brain tumor research and supportive patient services.

Through your generosity, National Brain Tumor Society is a leader in the fight against brain tumors:

  • Funding innovative research for improved treatments and for a cure. In 2008 alone, we granted more than $4.5 million in research funding;
  • Answering more than 1,000 phone calls and emails every month from patients, survivors, caregivers and families; and
  • Hosting regional conferences and caregiver trainings across the country, and reaching even more individuals through our teleconferences and online resources.

Your commitment to our mission is our inspiration, and your generosity is directly responsible for the success of our research and patient services programs. We look forward to the day when our services will no longer be needed. In the meantime, we continue to fund promising research and offer comprehensive education and support programs for everyone affected by brain tumors. And with your help, we will continue to inspire hope and make a difference in the brain tumor community.

Again, thank you for partnering with us in this urgent work.

Sincerely,

N. Paul TonThat
