Stranger Things: Eleven Pumpkin Pattern
October 28, 2016
I promised I would make a Stranger Things pumpkin pattern, and friends don't lie. Just released from Hawkins Lab, meet Eleven. She looks pretty... good. She looks pretty good.
David Bowie Pumpkin Pattern
October 26, 2016
Halloween is full of scary monsters, super creeps, and an extraterrestrial messenger called Ziggy Stardust. This pumpkin pattern pays tribute to David Bowie, the chameleon starman who proved that we can be heroes, just for one day.
Not Too Scary Pumpkin Patterns
October 25, 2016
After releasing some scary and violent pumpkin patterns, I think we need to cleanse our palate with some calmer designs. And so today I'm releasing three new patterns that won't terrify your children. They're all "apprentice" difficulty, so young ones can even help with these!
Negan Pumpkin Pattern
October 23, 2016
Simply cannot decide which pumpkin pattern to carve? I got an idea. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch the tiger by his toe. If he hollers, let him go. My mother told me to pick the very best one. And Negan is it!
Withered Walker Pumpkin Pattern
October 22, 2016
When you're one of the Walking Dead, hydration can really be an issue. This Withered Walker has neglected his moisturizing routine which gives him some nicely prominent cheekbones but a horrendous case of chapped lips.
Sugar Skull Pumpkin Pattern
October 21, 2016
On the Day of the Dead, the gates of the afterlife open and the souls of the deceased reunite with their relatives. Día de los Muertos is filled with flowers, feasts and sweet sugar skulls. And now you can honor your lost loved ones by carving this colorful candlelit calavera.
The Great Pumpkin Pattern
October 18, 2016
Happy 50th Anniversary to It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. This is the time of year to write to the Great Pumpkin. On Halloween night, the Great Pumpkin rises out of his pumpkin patch and flies through the air with his bag of toys for all the children!
Pennywise Pumpkin Pattern
October 17, 2016
Come print Pennywise the clown. There's all sorts of surprises down here. And balloons too. All colors. They float. And when you're down here with me, you'll float too!
Leap of Wraith Pumpkin Pattern
October 15, 2016
New original pumpkin pattern: Lurking near the graveyard, seeking those who have lost faith. A wispy form of shrouded bones, beware the Leap of Wraith.
Rolling Stones Pumpkin Pattern
October 15, 2016
This new Rolling Stones pumpkin pattern will get you some satisfaction, and I'm not just paying lip service.
Freak Show Pumpkin Pattern
October 14, 2016
You may call them depraved monsters, but they are the beautiful, heroic ones. They offer their oddity to the world. The Freak Show provides a laugh, or a fright, to people in need of entertainment.

Willy Wonka Pumpkin Pattern
October 8, 2016
Hurry please. We have so much time and so little to see... wait a minute, strike that. Reverse it. This Willy Wonka pumpkin pattern, my dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple.
Darth Vader Pumpkin Pattern
October 6, 2016
I sense something. A presence I have not felt since... last Halloween. Join me and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can carve this Darth Vader pumpkin and bring order to the galaxy.
Vulture Shock Shirt
September 28, 2016
One of last year's most popular pumpkin patterns is now available on a t-shirt. A rotten buzzard perches on the front, in minty fresh shades of green, purple, and yellow. A small Zombie Pumpkins! logo is on the upper back.
And if you're trying to plan your Halloween budget, you may also want to know - a second new t-shirt will be available in October. Expect that one to feature a new pumpkin mascot character on a truffle colored shirt.

100 Days Until Halloween
July 24, 2016
Congratulations, we have managed to survive 265 consecutive days that aren't Halloween. That means just 100 days until the big day hits again! With the countdown now shrinking into the double-digits, the time is right to start planning your costume, brainstorming your decorations, and most importantly - deciding what you want to carve on your pumpkins. I think about these things constantly. Then again, it is my job.
Last week was the right time to release a Ghostbusters pattern, but there's another trendy theme taking society by storm. Just look outside and you'll see plenty of Pokémon trainers wandering, gazing at their cell phones, searching for their next catch. Pokémon Go is a hugely popular phenomenon, but these pocket monsters have been popular since the mid 90s. So it's surprising that Zombie Pumpkins has yet to release a Pokémon pumpkin pattern. That has to change.
And so I managed to catch this real world Pokémon carving while out on the go. You too can add this electric mouse to your collection, now available to print. I choose you, Pikachu!
As you can see, you don't need pumpkins to warm up your carving skills. Watermelons are a great way to get in the spirit early. Here's another example of a watermelon carving, featuring last week's Library Ghost pattern.
And I know what you Ghostbusters fans are thinking... you're right, no human being would stack books like this.
Library Ghost Pumpkin Pattern
July 17, 2016
You probably noticed that it's July... which is almost like the end of summer... which of course comes right before fall... so basically it's Halloween now. If you don't believe me, ask the craft stores that have been selling artificial foam pumpkins for weeks already.
And as we get the generators fired up in Zombie Pumpkins HQ, it's time to start releasing some new patterns. But what subject matter would be fitting for the first summer stencil? Well I was recently standing outside the New York Public Library on a dark and spooky night, when it struck me just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947. All things Ghostbusters are hot right now, so what better specter than the very first ghost a buster ever did see.
So if you're eager to start carving, you can certainly take advantage of those craft pumpkins or watermelons. Or if you're waiting until October like most of the "normals," you should have several new patterns available by then. I'm currently designing them, so don't be shy about submitting your suggestions.
