The My Stuff Bags Foundation was the charity of choice for 2009.
Since 1998, The My Stuff Bags Foundation has provided comfort and a message of hope to abused and neglected children entering crisis and foster care through its unique program, My Stuff Bags.
Over 300,000 abused, abandoned, and neglected children across America are removed from dangerous home environments each year. They often arrive at crisis centers and foster homes with few, if any, personal belongings.
The My Stuff Bags Foundation gives children comfort and hope by providing them with a My Stuff Bag full of things they need to help them settle in their new environments, such as clothes, toys, toiletries, stuffed animals, and a security blanket.

Thank you for taking the time to make a difference in a lonely child's life with your recent gift. Because you've shown compassion for children rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment across America, the My Stuff Bags Foundation is able to continue providing new belongings – and new hope – to deserving kids throughout our country.
The past few years have been tough on these children. As the economy suffers, cases of abuse and neglect tend to increase, resulting in an even greater need for bright blue "My Stuff Bags" filled with wonderful new toys, clothes, books and other items that rescued children frequently lack as they enter foster care.
The new "stuff" packed in each My Stuff duffel makes their move into foster care more comfortable. But we can't underestimate what may perhaps be the bags' most important benefit: the realization in the minds and hearts of these children that so many people – including you – care about them during this difficult time in their lives.
For the many thousands of children that we strive to reach with the love and hope packed in each My Stuff Bag, thank you for your kind gift. You are filling their hands with new belongings, and their hearts with the knowledge that they are most definitely worthy of love and a happier future.
