World Book Night - 2012

Postby nosferatu » Fri Jul 29, 2011 5:52 pm

The first World Book Night was held in the UK in the spring of 2011 and saw 20,000 people give away 1 million specially printed books - 40,000 copies of 25 titles.

I wasn't chosen as a distributor but did receive three books from friends who were and have just heard that for 2012, America will have its own version.

It's a great idea and the titles are determined by those who register their favourite titles. So get nominating. There is no snobbery involved. It's all about love for books, literature and reading.

I note that currently Frankenstein is in the Top 100 in the UK and I am struggling on my 10 choices for nomination
in the name of The Carver and the holey Gourd. Amen.
