Interestingly enough, the Empire State Building Twitter account tweeted @ me to promote this light show. I asked them if they would have pumpkins on the premises. Or a crazy light show (I suggested lots of orange). They told me that the light show would be set to music, which you could listen to on local radio stations. Imagine listening to the music on your car radio, while watching the top of the building. As if NYC traffic isn't dangerous enough. It is beautiful though. Incredible range of colors and patterns. Great for Halloween. Cool medley of the most iconic Halloween songs. Great job, Empire State!

There is a building in the background that looks like it has a giant pumpkin in lights on the top half of it.

Oh yeah, Raven you're right. I just watched this again and spotted the jack o' lantern on the building in the background. In fact a lot of the buildings are quite colorful in there lighting effects. Empire State Building isn't the only show in town. But they sure do a good one. I wonder if they'll be doing a light show synced to music for Christmas too.
