Just something I thought I'd share with you all...

So, I have tried to make wine out of grapes for about 7 times now, of which 3 times successfully, and 4 times ending in pouring 15 l of fermented grape juice down the drain.

Problem has always been the pressing of the grapes. I used to do it all by hand and it is HELL to do that with 20kg of grapes. But presses are expensive, a small one easily costs $150. So I decided to make my own, and this is the result. The cost of making it was around $45.

Now I realise that this isn't really 'pumpkin'-related, but I was thinking. Basically, you can make wine out of every kind of fruit, and we know pumpkins are fruit. So maybe I'll give making pumpkin-wine a go. It would be killer to serve at next year's Halloween party.

It seems there are a few recipes out there. So it has been done. Does anyone here have any experience with it? Or maybe just tasted it? Is it drinkable?
