I didn't know that pumpkin carving actually has a category in the Guinness World Record book... And to be quite honest, this doesn't seem like it would be a tough one to beat.

I've seen jack o' lantern faces made in a split second, with either small explosives or with "cookie cutter" shapes attached to a giant mallet. But I suppose the Guinness record requires "traditional" carving with a saw blade, which I can appreciate. Apparently they also require that the pumpkin be no less than 24 lb, it's hollowed out ahead of time, and the carved face must include eyes, nose, mouth and ears. Since when does a "traditional" jack o' lantern face require ears?

huh. I think it's weird for it to have ears as well. I have put ears on mine though. with earrings. haha
