How 'bout the Wicked Witch of the West and maybe some flying monkeys? Maybe it was the green face or the voice, but she was pretty scary to me when I was a little kid.

It would probably have to be very detailed but I wouldn't mind seeing one of Dorothy, Scarecrow, Lion, Tin Man, and Toto skipping down the Yellow Brick Road.

I think the WWW idea is a great one. Easily more recognisable than an airborne primate and a truly iconic Halloween image
