Watched the first episode and thought it was good. The second episode was broadcast here last night and was awful. Pretty uneventful and not at all gripping until the very last sentence.

If every episode is constructed on similar lines then a. it is a con and hardly anyone will hang around for 22 episodes and b. they better rename it FastForward as from now on I will record it nad just fast forward through it. Think I would prefer the book.

It probably would have made a better 2 or 3 parter than making it so convaluted and drawn out. Shame really

Episode Three and surprise, surprise, it looks like the English are the bad guys. Laughing out loud bigtime.

However, I feel the show is pretty lame and if it was a pet of mine, I would be asking the vet to put it out of its misery.
