Just curious as to what your favorite horror movies are that are not classics, so no Universal horror movies or Friday the 13ths or Exorcists.

I think in the last 10 years my favorite might be The Descent. Other goodins are Feast and SAW.

Favorite non-classics? Good question!

Jeepers Creepers
The Mist
House of 1,000 Corpses
Signs (although it's not horror, it's still spooky to me)

Not a fan of Signs.

On Jeepers Creepers I was really into until he took to flight. When he was the creepy old man I though it was pretty good, afterwards not so much.

I really like the remake of "House on Haunted Hill". Those shaky, fast head moving things freak me out. I also love the way Dr. Vannacutt moves. Very creepy.

"Event Horizon"
"The Descent"
"30 Days of Night"
"Session 9"

I really love "Shaun of the Dead". I can seriously watch it over and over again. Same with "Hot Fuzz".

A lot of people seem to like "The Descent", but I didn't care for it. Same goes for "30 Days of Night", for vampires who live off blood, they sure wasted a lot of it.

I just watched "The Strangers" tonight and it was pretty good.

How are people mentioning House of 1000 Corpses and not The Devil's Rejects? Everyone I know prefers the latter hands down.

I know it sounds odd but I don't really watch horror movies. I saw 30 days of night but didn't think much to it but Mirrors scared me poopless. I wouldn't go into the bathroom for ages

I am such a wimp.

for me:
"The Descent", (the scottish woman in it lived a few doors down from me)
"House of 1000 corpses"/ "Devils Rejects"
"The Orphanage"
"Shaun of the Dead"
"Sleepy Hollow"
"Skeleton Key"
"Saw" (1st one only)

Ive never seen "The Strangers" but the french version "Them" was good.
