This has been confirmed today on the radio...
My local farmer would have just started picking 2 days ago, however due to the weather change they've suddenly been told by supermarkets to start on the squash crops (due to heat).
As we're having a hot spell, BBQ meats et al are coming out & halloween stock has been delayed.
Thus there will only be a trickle & slower interest uptake here than normal.
Literally he had a lorry or two turn up with flatpack boxes to assemble & bang out the squash crop...
