Hey guys, Just wanted to give you a heads up on a NON-PROFIT
Organization me and a bunch of carvers are trying to kick off this year.

Next Year we will be a lot more Organized .

What were Looking to do, is have a bunch of carvers, (as many as we can Get from EVERYWHERE) carve cartoon characters on FOAM Pumpkins, these will then be donated to Children's Hospital's across the states. For the Sick and Dying Kids, who may spend Halloween in a Hospital Bed instead of going trick or treating, like the Healthy Kids Can.

For this Year because there's not Much time to get things more Organized, We ask that anyone that wants to do this, and get involved.


Carve (2) Reg Size Foam Pumpkins, (2) General Cartoon Characters
Or One for the Boys and One for the Girls, and to include a Plug in Light with the Kins, So all they need do is unpack, and Plug in.

Just take the two Kins to any Hospital, that has a Kids Ward (pediatric)
And drop them Off, so they can Display them.

Please Do it in the name of Kins for Kids

Next Year - Were Looking to Pick One Hospital That is local to a carver in the states (because of shipping cost).
We all Ship them to the Carver, and he Brings them Over, for all the Kids.

Now if you Live Outside the U.S. you can still take part.
each year, you can do what were doing this year, Bring your two kins to a Hospital for display (in the Name of Kins for Kids).

I will also be setting up a Forum on that Site, to help all the carvers Communicate on this Heart warming Cause.

Next year Please Plan on a few more Cartoon Characters for Stencils.
I'm also going to be hitting More next season.

So all these carvers have more Choices to pick from.


Later Down the Road, after were all Setup, We will be asking for Donations from the Web Surfers, to help with the Cost involved,
the foam Kins the Lights, The packing Materiel, the shipping etc...

Right now it would be out of the pocket for each carver.
Down the road, were trying to make it Just your Time to carve them.

We will Also Be looking for Corporate Sponsorships.
Micheals to donate Foam Kins and Lights.
Fed-Ex or UPS - to offer Free Shipping. etc....

We really want this to work and GROW !

Hey Fellow Carvers.

We are working on the Kins for Kids this year.
I already talked to the "The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia"

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is the largest children's Hospital in the world.

We Have Plans to have 25 med sized Foam pumpkins on display.
this includes (2) Pumpkin Towers.

If you would like to take Part, Please let me know.
We need to make sure there are no Duplicate Carves.

We have 14 carvers so far and are looking for about 7 or 8 more.
This way each carver carves One pumpkin.

This is not about any website.
Were a United Front .
This is about creating a really cool Pumpkin Display
and bring some smiles to sick children.

ALL you have to do is carve one pumpkin (Kid themed).
Any Kid Pattern from any Source.

And ship it to me, I will be setting up the display myself.

We will place a note on the table that the carving display was donated by Kins for Kids and List the Carvers by Name and State.

I'm Supplying ALL the Power Cords and Lights for ALL the kins.

So if you want to take part Please PM Me for the Details.

Because I actually live in Philadelphia, and don't have to ship anything.
I'm carving 5 pumpkins for this Display.

I would but I do not know if any of my local Hostpials have a kid center, the closest one with would probably be in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

We have a new plan this year.

ALL the Kins will be shipped to me by the carvers.

I will then setup the display (for this Year)

Each year we will pick a Different Hospital.
And that person that lives Closest will take the lead role for the Project.

We are putting together a website, just for this very charity/project.

For carvers not in the U.S. states, we recommend Just as you stated,
To Donate the pumpkin themselves in the name of Kins for Kids.

The hardest Part about getting something like this started.
(IS Getting it started - we did that, now it's about making it work and grow)

I can't expect Folks (that live outside the states) to pay an arm and a leg in Shipping Cost.. But we do want this thing to work for all sick kids in the world.

I don't know if I mentioned this above,
But the entire reason for this Project/Charity. IS.......

The biggest Joy I think we all get out of our pumpkin carving art.
is the reaction we get from the kids on Halloween Night.

There are Millions of Kids stuck in a Hospital Bed, who wont get to see some of the fun things that Halloween brings. And to be honest and it's hard for me to type, some of these kids it will be their last Halloween.

So This is our way of bringing a little Halloween joy to them.


One of my sites members is from Germany, and his way of being part of the project, is to webmaster the site. He's got some Killer skills and Idea's. Another Member will be the spokesperson, answering emails, questions etc...

Lastly: I got a PM from a carver that is active on this board and mine.
And he want's to take part by carving and donating (2) pumpkins.
I recommended to him to carve Stencils from this Site.

Because I really want this to be a united front from carvers from all the carving sites, that and I love Zombie Pumpkins as much as my own site.

And Knowing that some of the stencils will come from here.
We know we'll have an Awesome display.
