I've been using LED tea lights to light my pumpkins, but this year, I want to try using a couple strands of christmas lights. For those of you using light strings, what color bulb do you use and do you use one bulb per 'kin or more? I've branched out into shading and I know they need extra light. I ...

That dang clown freaks me out so much, I don't know if I could deal with it in the yard.

If I did carve it, I'd have to do it on a real pumpkin because I couldn't sleep knowing IT was in my basement!

I found a shaded Jareth pattern at another site and thought I'd give it a try. It didn't turn out too bad for my first attempt. I hope the img works....

I use X-actos almost exclusively. I tried a Dremel tool this year, but like the xacto better. I was in a home improvement store and they had a set with larger handles that fit more comfortably in my hand. When I used the regular metal handle, I just used a foam pencil cushion for comfort.

Same here, I just picked up a couple foam 'kins at Michaels today, 50% the normal price. Also got a couple smaller ones and a white one. You do realise that this is mental cruelty to the British contingent. LOL! No, I never considered that! My apologies for the inadvertant foamkin torture!

I just stopped at Michael's and they are $9.99 right now.

Thanks everyone. I've already picked a few ZPs for this years layout!

I typically do a couple Michael's pumpkins and a coupe real pumpkins each year.

I had a leftover "white" pumpkin from last year and carved a PM last night.

I'm looking for a raven or crow pattern for this year.

Hi all,

I just found the site. I've been carving the pumpkin master patterns for a couple years now and just found your site. I look forward to trying some of the patterns here.

I've been using battery operated tea lights that I bought at Michael's. They are led and even flicker like a candle.
