I've used the super glue method and also the straight pin trick, too, and it works well, too. I've even been known to go for the needle and thread. This year I created my own Western-themed Casper the Ghost pattern. He's wearing a cowboy hat, and saying "Boo, Y'all!". It turned out great until I rea...

...and I thought it was probably an issue with my version of flash player. I've just been switching back to IE to print. Firefox has gotten buggier over time, MHO.

I'd probably avoid a plain X-acto blade... One slip and you could cut yourself. Ryan - Truer words were never spoken. I only use an x-acto for outlining intricate areas, and my hot knife (the exact one pictured) for cutting out the bottom of a foamie. Well, I've managed to cut myself while removing...

I was at WM today picking up some of the craft pumpkins and just happened to cruise through the garden center. There were probably 5 or 6 of these bins filled with real pumpkins -- and cleverly hidden under a tarp! The size and shape of the bins was all too familiar, so of course I couldn't resist l...

Nice review and photos. I used to use clip lights which were great as long as I had a power source, but as my display grew, I moved on to Tap Lights. Those were great, but I went through batteries like crazy, and were much too "blue". I wrapped them in yellow tissue paper which helped, but the batte...

I've been lurking around these boards for years and finally joined last season, so it's time to emerge from the shadows and say Hey, Y'all! I've been seriously carving since 2007, when I was fortunate live in a friendly neighborhood where people still trusted each other, and we always had tons of To...

I love the look of the Chewie and Yoda patterns. I would love to see the rest of the cast, especially R2D2 and C3PO. Thanks! ETA - My theme this year, along with the usual Zombie & Ghouls, is Star Wars. With the new movie soon, it's a natural, so I would be grateful for any and all new Star Wars pat...

Oh, Yes! I love the Peanuts Gang and they are a big part of my "pumpkin patch", which is growing every year. I would LOVE to add some more!
