Great carve Joey! Nice clean lines, it looks great.
Dear lord, I'd rather see one of my stencil ideas go to waste than an ICP stencil be made up. I agree Tkaraoke, this is a very friendly place where we all support each other. ICP may not be your "cup of tea" but that doesn't mean that there are not a lot of fans that would love to see ICP patterns.
I use rubbing alcohol to remove ink, it works on most surfaces..
Hello there, welcome to the forum, I am sure that you will recognize a few faces here.
LOL!!! The year that I carved Jar Jar it was great to hear the comments from Star Wars fans, they either love him or hate him.

Thanks Kerianne, it is good to be here and exchange ideas with fellow pumpkin carvers.I have also noticed that there are a lot of good pumpkin carvers that come from our area and some good pattern makers too.
Nice carve!! Very neat clean lines.
Great, thanks for the info.

The saws that are sold for carving foam pupkins leave a much neater edge than the standard PM saws, but X-Acto blades leave a crisp edge on carve thru patterns. I use a 3M paint stripper wheel and a drill extension rod in my drill to sand down the black line in Michaels pumpkins. You need to be care...
I agree Cyber, I should have stated that I only remove the black line in shaded pumpkins.
With the Michaels pumpkins you need to remove the "black line". There is a support rib of thicker foam that runs around the circumference of the pumpkin. This needs to be thinned down to the thickness of the pumpkin, if not it will appear as a dark line across the pumpkin.
I usually buy all of my pumpkins from the grocery store, I have several large chain stores near my house. As soon as the stores start selling pumpkins I buy one or two each time that I go to the store, by the time Halloween comes I can easily have 15 to 20 pumpkins. A lot of the time the stores sell...
