That is some amazing work. Can I ask what your favorite foam pumpkins are? I've tried several brands, and so far my favorites have been the Home Living pumpkins sold at Lowe's. The density and flexibility is similar to Gemmys sold at Michaels, but without the visible ribs on the inside.

I still check in every now and then...only because I've been carving like crazy. I bought a whole bunch of pumpkins on sale after Halloween, and I've been carving them....about 2 per week. I've been counting the days until Aug/Sep...when the stores start carrying Halloween stuff. Only 6 more months!

Amazing display. It looks so festive and inviting with all of the lights. I can't imagine people would be afraid to walk up the walkway.

Here are my final display pics from last night. Luckily, the weather held out and we had a great turnout for trick or treating...about 150 total (not including parents). The first thing people said to me after they regained consciousness after being BOOed into the netherworlds was "wow...great pumpk...

Oh man, I wish I would have read this thread yesterday. My family and I just got back from checking out some of the larger Halloween displays in the area. We would have stopped by your house to check it out.

You shouldn't be down on yourself. I've seen a lot of your work and you've got nothing to prove. It's obvious you spend a lot of time and thought with your staging. If I staged my pumpkins the same way you did, I could only do 5 per year. I admire your skills.

All outstanding carves. Wonderfully staged. I envy your picture taking skills. And all Zombie Pumpkins creations. Ryan must pay you.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't often hear people say they wish it was heavier, but I can see what you're saying. I'm considering playing with other materials for the handle again (we did acrylic at once time). I noticed the handle is hollowed out somewhat and there's some space in there to add a ...

I've used mine for two seasons so far and absolutely love it. The only (minor) comment I have is that I wish it were heavier. I think it would reduce on hand fatigue because you wouldn't have to press down as hard when cutting. Gravity would help you out. Otherwise, it's a great tool and I really en...

Just for fun...a teeny tiny Root of All Evil carved out of a pie pumpkin. I did this one just for fun.

I love this pattern...it's like carving a tiny pumpkin onto a tiny pumpkin. :D

Your staging is amazing...not just this carve, but all of your promotional work. No one can make a pumpkin look as good as you.
