Here's my show for 2017... Well I started by warming up with a couple colorfully campy watermelons in the summer. 1960's Batman and Joker . https://www.zombiepumpkins.com/images/forum/2017/2017-pumpkins-batman66-1200-watermark.jpg https://www.zombiepumpkins.com/images/forum/2017/2017-pumpkins-joker6...

Raven, I saw your burning pumpkin, it looked hot! :P You had the outside burning also, which showed the outline of the pumpkin in a cool way. What chemicals did you use? I used a mixture of boric acid (for the color) and liquid methanol (for the fuel). These ingredients actually make bright green fl...

S.A.M, I applaud your attempt to shade those logos at all. Even that Hocus Pocus lettering, you're on a roll with the logos! I shaded big bold letters for the 1960s Batman and Joker this year ("KAPOW" and "BANG") and I found myself questioning the choice. Haha. It can look nice and helps the pumpkin...

monstermash! I always look forward to photos of your carvings and decorations. It all seems to come naturally for you. I hope you don't feel pressured though. I know that personally I feel like I need to top myself each year, but of course schedules and moods may not always allow that. No need to fe...

mesmark - On your certificate, I mentioned the parties (which surely exposed new people to ZP), but you're totally correct that I wanted to reward you for your cumulative contributions to the world of Zombie Pumpkins. It was really fun reminiscing about your contributions. I remember just about all ...

There seems to be an ebb and flow to each person's desire or availability for the pumpkin carving tradition. But Raven... even when you claimed that you weren't doing anything this year, you still managed to shoot, carve, burn and paint pumpkins. The crafting urge burns within you, you can't help yo...

Wow, thanks for such kind words! I'm thrilled to have a new member like you. You appreciate my art style and support my merchandise shop. You've proven that you can carve (and carve a lot!). You've spent the time to read the forums, and use the resource to expand your knowledge even further. You've ...

You sure know how to make an entrance, Bug Bite! I always like to hear about people who carve over several weeks. Jack o' lanterns don't need to be displayed only on Halloween. Keep them rolling all season long, I say. You only got into carving last year? Could have fooled me. You've been bitten by ...

So you carved a backwards stencil of "OBEY" onto the back? That's incredible, you achieved a great projection! The soft glow of the letters makes it feel extra ominous. I'm always happy to see this cult classic movie getting some attention.

Great choices. Probably the two most popular character patterns this year. I chose to carve Night King and Pennywise myself. So you're in good company, for whatever that's worth. Blue light is often tough to photograph, but you still managed to get a good photo out of that mini rope light! Great car...

Nothing wrong with a little selective brightness editing after the fact. Pumpkins are tough to photograph in the dark. I've spent years trying to perfect the techniques. At this point I'm using a tripod, studio lights on stands, handheld colored LED lights, and more. Your Predator looks ugly, and I ...

Hope everyone had a great Halloween day/night! With a little help I displayed about a dozen carvings. I pulled together a costume within a couple hours, which worked out great considering it was mostly just planned in my mind, until it was executed on the day. So many months of planning, and it's ov...

Well, why are you scrolling? That's your problem.

Kidding of course. That's weird behavior. Might be iPhone specific, maybe related to the file type of the images. I'll research this and look for a solution. You'll have to bear with it until after Halloween though, I'm sorry. :|
