Pumpkins, or Rocks?

So I went to the Local Walmart on Friday and found a bin FULL of nice big, smooth, gorgeous pumpkins for $3.88. I, of course, snapped up 10 with much glee. I get them home and (try) to crack open three of them to carve for the Renaissance Faire Pumpkin competition. It was like I was sawing through a...

I host a Trick or Treating party. My driveway is cut into the hill my house sits on so it makes for a great alley to party in. I line the sides with lights and put the food table in the back. All my pumpkins sit on stands so it looks like they float on the hills. All the guests are required to bring...

Re: Sand Paper helps

Sand paper is a huge help! I also have been using one of the cheap fiberboard emery boards. I found that in the really small cuts you can trim down the board to a point or a long thin rectangle and it slides right in! The rougher grit side can even help reshape and carve slightly on a super controll...

And for those of you with smart phones, Michael's has an app that spits out a lovely pile of coupons that can be scanned right from the phone! I have already cleaned my local Michael's out of the large orange foam pumpkins (ok, there were only three on the first truck) but I got 40% off of two and 5...

Thank you!! Monstermash - We had probably 150 Trick or Treaters and maybe 40 or 50 adults come by to see. It was a bit quieter then usual this year but my neighbors have threatened to call the news crew next year so it could be interesting next year ;) Sonic I carved Bats3 because of you! I kept loo...

I went to Michael's after work today and it was slim pickins. All foam pumpkins were gone, but I did get a neat decorated candelabra for $14, regularly $60.

I thought I'd call around a bit tomorrow, but it sounds like the buyers were stingy and things didn't last long!

I'll be 29 for another couple months!

Then again, my age may keep going up but I've refused to ever grow up

Favorite Pattern?

This may have been asked before, but out of all the patterns to choose from, which one is your favorite?

I think mine is Jack Sparrow. It drives me mad carving the beads on his beard, but it looks so great!
