Not only is it obvious, but it is very easy. Just pick up a string of the vintage style christmas lights, then you can put any color in a standard night light. Red, green, blue or yellow.

I like that idea. It is a lot like my roof top idea.

Also, I have a 20 foot flag pole, that I could place a beacon on, no problem.

I had exactly 140. I always count the treats before and after. What I don't like is that my immediate neighbors always pack up their kids to take them to Grandma's house, so I rarely get kids from my own block! And, for the first time in many years, EVERY teenager that came had some sort of costume ...

i picked up some of dr frybrain pumpkin embalmer this year Thanks for the feedback. Did you buy it on-line, or did you see me at an event? I'm glad to hear it worked so well for you. The success of the product is a direct result of many variables, such as the size of the pumpkin, thickness of the r...

I went to Michael's on Halloween morning, and there was not a single pumpkin to be found!

The Garden Ridge pumpkins aren't too bad. I found that they are very easy to carve with a nice sharp X-acto blade.

Here's a quick shot. I ended up cutting the bottom, and reusing it (to keep the top in tact). I ran a small, 25 watt green light through a hole in the upper rear, so that the bulb is right under the stem. I may add branches for arms, but I kind of like the way it looks as is. http://www.drfrybrain.c...

I loved the movie, and also enjoyed the TV episode last night. I've never put any thing other than a traditional candle inside my pumpkins, but maybe I'll play around with a couple Cyalume glow sticks stuck to the underside of the lid, and replicate the mutant pumpkins! http://www.drfrybrain.com/mis...

Just like you do the cinnamon, on the underside of the lid. The key is that you need to use a real candle, to generate the heat required to (unfortunately) start to cook the underside of the lid. When the essence of the pumpkin flesh is released, it mixes with the Pumpkin SFX to produce the aroma. I...

I was waiting for Dr. Frybrain to speak up, he is the resident doctor of pumpkinology. Thanks for the input doc. Didn't want to be too pushy at first, but now that you mention it, we have a product called Pumpkin SFX (Smell Effects) that works much better than cinnamon for making your Jack o'Lanter...

Assuming that you cut the lid and not the bottom, you can cut a 12" length of 3/4" diameter wooden dowel (broomstick). Drill a pilot hole in one end, and sharpen the other, to create a ground stake. Drill a small hole in the bottom of the pumpkin, and attach it to the top of the stake (which you've ...
