We had about 150 which around what I planned on. We had a slow start also but once the rain stopped it picked up but ended early this year.
We had really strong winds and rain all day. The rain passed but the wind did not I had a hard time keeping my pumpkins lit. Lots of trick or treaters and everyone still had fun.
I still have quite a few to finish but the sticker paper is mkaing quick work of them. I started carving a few weeks ago but most of my pumpkins are holding up pretty well with the cold weather and rain we have been having.
I have a inflatable spongebob dressed as a pirate on my roof. So all the kids coming yelling Spongebob Spongebob, but as they get closer they get a bit more freaked out. With all the smoke and lights and howls, it really lures them in.

I have also had good luck with just soaking them in reguler water. It stayspretty cold in northern ny all month. About 45 degrees all day so I don't really have to worry about mold so much.
Well we get them froma wholesaler who doesn't do any business with the public. In order to get that price we had to order 200 or more. They were all pretty big from 25 lbs. to 40 lbs. Not a bad crop. We sell the extras for 3 - 5 bucks each. We are lucky since we live around lots of farms.
