Darren Lumley

The crop's top spot goes to Darren this year, for impressive efforts all around. His multiple carvings we ultimately used to collect money for charity, but not before being well photographed with creative settings and inspiring group shots.

But perhaps Darren's boldest move is proven by his quote below, regarding his photo shoot assistant. A man that puts his marriage at risk certainly has true devotion to the craft.

"The creature is really alive! These were taken at secret location somewhere in the north east of England on a cold autumn night. My wife was going mad at the location, it was very very cold and wet, doh! But I need some help holding all the lights, ha ha!"

"Please keep up the good work mate, because without you this would just not be possible. I gave all my pumpkins away to people who were going to collect donations for cancer research."
