Michael sent in several photos great glowing gourds. By using a scrape-away technique, he was able retain all the details of each design. Here are a couple of the more complex examples.
"Up to my experience the pumpkins last longest if I do not cut all the way through. For this reason I usually just remove about 0.5 cm of the outer pumpkin surface. A side effect of this technique is, that it is possible to accentuate spots of the patterns that are supposed to be very bright (e.g. take a look at E.T.'s finger)."

As if using Krueger's own glove, Chris tackled several of the more detailed designs, executing each with very crisp lines.
