Most Accurate 2007:
Brandi Bush
Brandi submitted photos of at least a dozen pumpkins, each one as crisp and accurate as the next. She earned points for her artsy group shots, as well as the closeups that helped show the detail work in these carvings.

But Brandi's biggest achievement was actually something quite small. Under 5 inches, to be specific. Her steady hand carved several designs into the smaller breeds of pumpkins, including the intricate burn scars of Freddy Krueger. Take a look at the Gatorade bottle and rulers for size reference.
"Included is a pic of a pumpkin I did of Freddy. It was a very small pumpkin. I also made Cat Got Your Tongue? and Jigsaw Puppet and a bunch of Nightmare Before Christmas pumpkins in that size too."

"So after making a very small Michael's pumpkins at 5 inches high and 5 inches wide, I thought... why not give a real pumpkin that small a go? This pumpkin is about 4 inches high and 5 wide. Yes I'm crazy!"

Most Accurate Runner Up 2007:
Anthony Schwethelm
Anthony did a few carvings, all of which look just as they should. The thin, even lines of this Dracula Burns design are a good example of carefully crafted carving.

Most Accurate Runner Up 2007:
Seth White
Seth used a technique of pumpkin skin shaving, giving this Skull and Torches design some highlighted edges that look sharper than a buccaneer's dagger.
