Membership Questions

Q: How many patterns do I get for each price?
A: The $20 "Monster Harvest" account allows you to print up to 270+ patterns, and 10 V.I.P. patterns. The $10 "Whole Harvest" account allows you to print up to 270+ patterns. The $5 "Break Ground" account allows you to print up to 25 patterns of your choice. The $2 "Bare Bones" account allows you to print up to 2 patterns of your choice.

Q: Can I upgrade my account to the next level at a later time?
A: Yes. Just log into the site, then click the "Manage Account" link at the top of the right-side column. On this account page, you'll see the option to make additional payments to get your membership to the next tier.

Q: How long will my membership last?
A: Memberships last for 9 months from the date of payment.

Q: Am I allowed to share my password or patterns with others?
A: Generally no. Please view the Member Agreement for full explanation.

Payment Questions

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Instant payments can be made with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, bank/debit cards and PayPal account funds. You can also pay by check or money order.

Q: Do I need a PayPal account to purchase a pattern membership?
A: Payments are securely handled by PayPal, but you are not required to create a PayPal account. You can just use their services for a one time transaction, and ask that they not store your information.

Q: Is my payment info kept secure?
A: Absolutely. PayPal uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available) to keep your information confidential and safe.

Q: How do I send a check/money order by mail?
A: Just print out this mail order membership form (PDF file). The form will explain how and where to mail your check or money order. Once payment is received by mail, your account will be activated and you'll be emailed with your login information. Please print clearly on the form!

Q: Will I be automatically billed monthly/yearly?
A: No, you'll never be automatically charged without your permission. Each payment is considered a one time contribution. When your membership eventually expires, you can always renew, but this action is totally voluntary.

Password/Login Questions

Q: Can I change the name, email or password on file for my account?
A: Yes. Just log into the site, then click the "Manage Account" link at the top of the right-side column. On this account page, you'll see links to update your information, as well as upgrade your account.

Q: What should I do if I forgot my password?
A: Go to the Forgot Password page and enter your email address. Your password will then be emailed to you.

Q: Why does the Forgot Password feature say I'm not in the database?
A: When joining this site, you may have used a different email address, or mistyped it. If you're not sure what email you used to join, contact me and provide your full name so I can look it up for you.

Pattern Questions

Q: Can I chose which pattern designs I want to print, or are they pre-selected for me?
A: Regardless of which plan you signed up with, you have absolute choice over which designs you want to print. You can choose any from the entire public collection, of which there are currently 266 patterns.

Q: Can I print a pattern more than once, or will that count against my pattern limit?
A: The pattern limit for your plan relates to how many different designs you can choose, not how many pieces of paper you print. So you can print out multiple copies of the same design, and it will only count as 1 pattern.

Q: How do I access the exclusive V.I.P. patterns?
A: There is a "V.I.P. Patterns" category near the bottom of the pumpkin patterns page, which will become an active link if you have a "Monster Harvest" membership and are logged in.

Q: Are there new patterns for this year?
A: Absolutely. New patterns are added continually during October, leading up to the big day. To keep updated on what's new, you can watch the Updates page, the 2011 Patterns page, or join the Pumpkin Scoop email newsletter list.

Q: How could my membership be expired if I didn't print enough patterns to hit my limit?
A: Memberships always expire 9 months from the payment date. During that time you have access to print up to a specified number of pattern designs. But it's up to you to print all that you need within that time period. If there was no time limit, a 25-pattern plan could be used to print a new pattern every year for a quarter century!

Q: Can you make a pattern of ______?
A: Maybe. I can't fulfill every wish, but the most common requests are likely to make their way onto the site eventually. Contact me with your suggestions!

Printing Questions

Q: Do I need special software to access the patterns?
A: All you need to print the patterns is the Adobe Flash Player, which you likely have installed already if you've seen animations and videos on the web.

Q: Why doesn't anything happen after I click "print"?
A: Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible for me to troubleshoot the exact hardware and software issues of your computer from a distance. Please be sure you have a working printer before signing up and attempting to print the patterns.

Shop Questions

Q: Do you ship to countries outside the US?
A: Yes, I ship anywhere in the world that can receive mail.

Q: How much are shipping charges to my country?
A: When you add items to the shopping cart, you can enter your postal code and calculate the exact shipping rate (based on package weight) before you decide to place your order.

Q: Why can't I track my international shipment?
A: If you chose Priority Mail International or Registered Mail, you should be able to track the package. But unfortunately tracking information for First Class International Mail is very limited. Please be aware that international orders can take 6-10 business days to arrive.
