The Gruesome Galleries have been restored. And now that it's October again, you're able to upload photos of your freshly carved pumpkins to the soon-to-be 2011 Pumpkin Carving Gallery. Please no old photos, let's see the new stuff you're carving!

The 2011 Pumpkin Carving Gallery has started to take shape. Just a start, many more will be submitted, no doubt.

Those of you that have been carving early and posting your photos here in the forum, don't forget to also upload them to the galleries. Then your stuff can be enjoyed by the masses that will descend upon this site in a couple weeks.

I agree. It's funny. After I carve, I immediately take a picture. From that point on, I'm satisfied

Same here. I feel that photographing the carved pumpkin is like a mandatory step in the process. So much so that I even list it on my instructions page is if it's a requirement. Hey, these things do rot. And eventually the photos will be all we have to remember them by. So snap those pics while the carve is fresh!

Not to mention the fact that taking photos allows you to share your work with other carvers, through a site like this one. An audience that you know understands your obsession.
