Those two not-quite-dead girls make a lovely pair. Great carvings. I'm sorry to hear that some of your are experiencing early pumpkin rot problems, but if that leads to awesome early jack o' lanterns, that's not such a bad thing.

Glad to see the first Frankie Stein carving. Maybe next year I should offer prizes to people who show me a photo of a carved design in the same day I released the pattern. ;)

There will definitely be one more lady at least... ;)

Ryan, I've never done a "day one" carve before. I'm pretty happy that I got in before anyone else! :) It wasn't as though I was competing though, it was more that I really dug the pattern and the 'kin needed carving!

Thanks everyone for the compliments!

Great carvings EZ! Those spooky sistas look ghoulicious in the pumpkin flesh. Sorry to hear about your rotting kins, but at least you still got to carve!

Thanks so much guys :) You're all really too kind. I'm a bit crap when it comes to setting up props and stuff hence why I don't try! But maybe I should branch out... Anyhoo, I now have 5 'kins and a couple will probably start getting ill soon so.... Good opportunity to try props ;)

It's also now also acceptable to take your pumpkins on a road trip. You could take Lily Munster to a spa, Rick Grimes to a shooting range, gun store, or hospital, Jimmy Saville to a brothel. You know sutff like that  .

Lovely carves EZ! I'd forgotten all about the Head Cheerleader pattern, it looks great, I was going to carve Pretty Poison for my niece this year but it may be one of these now you've shown them off with such good carves.

Cool stuff EZ.

You are leading the pack of the British contingent....so far.

I can see that this will be the most carved pattern this year easily.

What is that "great minds think alike" saying.. we both chose to carve this pattern today.

Spectacular carve as always!

Another great tree. Fun carve, you say? I'll likely be doing it myself. Looking forward to it. It seems to have many pieces (around the branches) but a lot of the pieces are fairly large. Even the face on the pumpkin.

Nos, you're right. Root of all Evil has just overtaken Night Owl! Which one will be the victor when the dust settles after October 31? The battle is on.

Make that three!! Ive just finished carving root too. You both did an amazing job. Do you think Root Of All Evil is as popular as Night Owl?
They're coming to get you, Barbara!
