Zombie Costume Help

What is the best way to stain up and ultimately zombify some scientist type clothing?

I'm looking to age it a bit and then grunge it up and then bloody it on top of that.

I would also hope that I could make sure everything was set so it didn't stain furniture or car seats.

I used latex paint to stain my zombie costume. It doesn't rub off once it's dry, so it's a good choice for looking dirty but staying clean.
