So yes, I know it is only April. But is it ever really to early to start planning for the next big Halloween night.

I find myself having some extra time and since I dont want to be rushed in October I thought it might be a good time to get things planned and started.

What better place to share and get comments than from my fellow enthusiasts here at Ryans awesome web site.

So for 2009 the plan is to make at least 2 of the coffins outlined in the other post. For posteritys sake It is at this link.

I really think for the price and the fun of putting them together it will be hard to beat. They look real. and could probly be used as the real things if pressed.

Im also going to be fencing in the yard this year with the fence project found at The Haunted Drive Way.

I might try something a bit different for the design, but that is essentially what I will be doing. I am excited about the fence as it will allow me to hopefully keep the props up longer without fear of any hooligans coming and destroying stuff.

Also on the agenda is the corpsing of at least one bucky.

And finally a new tombstone to add to the collection. I have already found my inspiration this year. I found it in Warhammer Online, the MMO computer game I play too much of.

Heres a pic of what I hope it to look like from a screen shot in the game.

So wish me luck, I will attempt to keep this post updated through the year leading up to Halloween with updates as I go.

Happy haunting this summer everyone..

I agree, it's never to early to start planning for Halloween. In fact, in my opinion, if you haven't already started, you're falling behind!

Cheef, your reference pics all look like great projects to emulate. Thanks for providing the build links where appropriate. Hopefully you'll inspire other home haunters here to get their corpses in gear.

Good luck to ya! You're smart to start early. You can really take your time and perfect your projects, without feeling stressed and rushed in the fall. Looking forward to your eventual progress reports!

Those are some awsome projects! Those skeletons really look like old rotting corpses, with withering flesh falling off their bones. Good luck! I look forward to seeing the pics of the finished products. :D Some weel chosen pumpkin patterns would of course be the perfect compliment. An "undead ted" here, a lurking "holloween" there, throw in a "pumpkin King" & an " old hag", perfect. Damn, how many months 'till halloween again Ryan ? I have got to get me some projects like that to occupy my mind until then!!!

Hey Cheef

Nice links and great blog. Your thoughts on the new Red Dwarf episodes were spot on. Such a shame really.

Looks good. How many are you planning on building?

Liking the look of the new blog too. Word Press has given it a very professional look

I'm hoping to get three built in time for the big day. if not then two will suffice.

And I agree. I like Word press much more. Seems to be more customizable. Its learning curve is a bit steeper, so i havent even begun to figure out the fun stuff yet. But I will get there.
