Are your decorations for a party or just for you?

Do you have a picture from this year's display?
The decorations are for me.. There is no many people here who dig into Halloween like I do, but ok, I enjoy in it..
I post pics in Carving photos & Stories baord, as you've already seen.

Stunning display Deadking! The odd shapes and sizes of gourds and pumpkins really makes a great addition to your carves. I think the more simple designs are sometimes the best, especially in a display like yours. Fantastic.

Oh gosh, I love it. This is right up my alley with the style and feel. The towered display is breathtakingly creepy. I love it all!

I just might have to paint a few pumpkins this year, after feeling so inspired by your projects. True art. Just look at that Frankenweenie! I love anything with crows/ravens, so that one is great. And the branch under the bird seems to be done with the same style as the "veiny" pumpkin.

What's the method for making that? Do you just paint/marker random lines? It looks like the technique where you place small pools of ink/paint and then blow it with a straw, to make gradually branching organic lines.

Your appreciation for Halloween is totally obvious. Very classy and traditional (yet inventive) displays. The sort of thing you'd expect to see in a high class craft magazine.

You should try to paint them, it is quite fun.
I use acrylic paint with different brushes, from the larger to very fine ones, and then finish the thinnest lines with a fine paint marker.
Thanks for the comments.
