I have a stapled throat wound and a facial wound (socket) .. I've done fake wounds before but I was wearing the typical black and white make-up, this year it's all flesh colored..

I bought the glue, the liquid latex, the fake blood, and also have some regular cosmetic concealer laying around..

My question is: How do I make it look really theatre like without it looking cheesy? What is the best way to blend? Any certain 'tools' or sponges that are the best for this?

I want it to look like the package even though those were done professionally *whacks head*

At most real costume shops they sell all the really good tools you need for this sort of thing. I dont even recall the things I used when I went as human roadkill...tee hee....but I Know it worked really well. I think your best bet would be to head down to a costume shop and talk to the clerk.
