I've been thinking a bit lately. Usually when it comes to carving lanterns, I have historically waited until a day or two before Halloween to do any work beyond gutting. This year, however, I think a have a new idea.
You see, I love to carve, but I've always done all of my carving in one day, maybe three lanterns tops. This has often lead to much frusturation and hand cramps. This year, I think that I will do things a bit different. Rather than only carving a few lanterns all at once, I will instead carve one or two lanterns per week and display them (both indoors and outdoors) throughout the month. This way I can gain more enjoyment from the act of carving without working myself to death. And them Halloween comes around, I'll do a few extra for display.
