Happy Memorial Day!

My husband and I spent the day at a lake yesterday and on the way I spotted some signs for cemeteries where 216 miners that died in a mine explosion in 1902 where buried. This sparked my interest in history and cemeteries so we stopped at a few. This gravestone was not of one of the miners but but of a soldier who gave his life. I thought the epitaph was very fitting for all those who gave their lives for their countries.
