I would love to see Ryan's take on some stencils that tell a story in an image. I love characters, but I would love to see some scenes. Some ideas...

1. Little Red Riding Hood being followed by the wolf
2 . Trick or treater being followed by monsters
3. A "bad dream" stuck in a dream catcher
4. Monsters under the bed/in the closet
5. trick or treaters stading at the gate of a haunted house
6. Treasure Hunter running from danger
7. Buried alive

I am sure we can come up with more!

Excellent overall idea, and great specific scenes you described.

Patterns like this are more difficult to design and carve because they involve many small details. To fit full bodies and multiple characters, everything has to become smaller on the pumpkin. Figures need to be simplified to keep them feasible for carving.

But enough excuses... I can make it work.

If this category is based off of movie scenes, i have a few ideas...

--The 'Psycho' shower scene (surprised this hasn't been done yet in other categories)
--Nosferatu, Orlok's shadow going up the staircase (Yes please! )

--Carol talking to the TV (Poltergeist)

--Nightmare on Elm street- claw coming out of the bathtub
--The ring TV
--King kong on top of Empire State Building

so many possibilities here!!!!!!..........
