Just like in the movie, there are a total of 3 skeleton deer, which look mostly the same. So if you were carving three of them to recreate the flight scene, you could just use the same pattern. But... that felt like a bit of a cheat to me, so I modified the design so each is a bit unique. They each have different leg and head positions, and slightly different antler shapes.
Although I won't be carving this full set into pumpkins, I DID cut Zero and couple of the reindeer out of card stock to project onto the walls. And I carved Santa Jack (on a real 'kin) for this Christmas card photo.
I then gifted the pumpkin to some friends, who displayed it on their porch. How many families have a real carved pumpkin on their porch as a Christmas decoration. Not enough, if you ask me. But look, the kids love it!
