Just a thought.... How about carving the face of the super hero (ex: Bruce Banner) on the front of the pumpkin, then carving the hulk out of the back, and then letting it show up on a wall or backdrop. That way it could look like a transformation from the everyday person into the superhero.

Could work well with a foam pumpkin and put a divider in the middle...interesting idea
