How do I get my pattern onto my pumpkin and know from that what parts to cut and what parts to shade? I understand that I can tell by the color of the pattern itself, but I am used to the toothpick way with only cut-out. I don't know how I am going to pull off the pattern and then know which parts to shade.

Can someone tell me how they put their patterns on that require shading?

Thanks,

Kristen

could either glue the pattern on and use an xacto to cut out the white parts and begin with that. or get saral paper and trace it on and just mark may be the deepest parts with some hash marks so you know which is which :)
