I dont have a home composter and the city does not have curbside composting (yet) and with 12 HUGE pumpkins to gut I have no idea what to do with the guts other than to just put them in the trash (minus the seeds which get toasted).

Can I just dump them into the garden and mulch them up with the dirt??

First of all, roast the seeds. That will reduce some of the volume.

With the rest of the guts, you can mix them in with the rest of your yard waste (grass clippings or raked leaves).

Another option is to treat them like you would any other waste from food preparation (potato peels, apple cores, etc.), and grind them up with your kitchen garbage disposal.
