I'm going to attempt this tonight and was wondering if any of you had some tips for this pattern as I've never done a detailed pattern like this before.

Would you carve all of the pattern out or just some layers of the pumpkin flesh?

I would like to carve all of it out but was wondering if the eyes and nose of the joker would be supported enough to stay put?

granted i carved it onto a foam kin... but..i carved it at about 60% of its size and felt the eyes were pretty strong so if u do it full sized it shouldnt be bad might be a little saggy come halloween night but if u dont do it til tonight and do some sort of preserving to it, it should be fine:) dunno it that helps or not.. i tried lol
