I have tried the pin hole method before, its messy, difficult and ruins the stencils. After i print a zp stencil, i cut out the dark spots with and exacto knife/box cutter. i then hold or tape it to the pumpkin and and draw within the stencil using a washable felt, don't use sharpies. when you take the stencil off, you can clearly see the image you are about to carve. Be careful though, when scooping out your pumpkin, the wet mess can wash away you ink. mayhaps draw the stincil on a carved, dry pumpkin. doing it this way, you can re-use your stencil over and over again.
