I saw this at the cinema. When i saw "from the makers of the ring" on screen i thought, oooh this will be scary ( having been terrified by the ring). Don't know if its out in the US yet.
Here's the plot:
"Shelter is a supernatural horror-thriller movie written by Michael Cooney (writer of Identity) and stars Julianne Moore (Hannibal, The Forgotten, Chloe) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (M.I. 3, From Paris with Love). It is about a psychiatrist who discovers that her patient got a certain multiple personalities and all of the personalities were murder victims. She tries to find out what happens to this patient. This situation brings her and her daughter’s safety in jeopardy and face the danger in finding the truth."
I thought Moore and Meyers were very good in it. Certainly not as terrifying as the Ring but a few jumpy bits and an ok storyline (a little predictable in places). I would give Shelter 6/10.
