Thought this was great. From http://www.glacialart.com The top of his head was hollowed out and filled with vodka jelly. The idea being that guests at the Halloween party could scoop out some vodks brains to eat.

That's awesome. What keeps the sculpture from melting away?

Nothing I think. Generally I think "nature" lets them last a few hours - normally the length of the function or party and they just gradually melt away. I would have loved them to have posted a picture of FM's brains spilling all over the floor as his head caved in but alas, they haven't.

The bigger the chunk of ice the longer it takes to melt. Unless they have some elaborate refrigeration stand. I'm assuming the cooler the environment the better.

I'd imagine they could also just set them on a platform that is cooled to extend the melting time.

Seems like the lighted stand would be hot and help to melt ol' Frankie, very "cool" idea though.
