I was wondering if any of the shading guys on here could post tips they have learned in this topic.

I did have one question, how deep do you cut into the foam? Just take off the orange paint or leave like 50% of the thickness left?

I'm still experimenting myself, but so far I've found the high speed cutting bits work best for shading. Then I go back over with a stone bit or diamond bit to smooth it out.

The depth depends upon your light source. The brighter the light, the less you need to shave. Shave a section about 25% and put your light in to see how it looks. Repeat until you get the right depth.
