I carved this for my Uncle Roberts fireworks display tonight. Added "Rabs squibs" to personalize. The kin was in quite bad shape, I hadn't realised it was going soggy on top. The walls were pretty thin and the carve is a bit wonky but it will hold till tonight.
I tried to go for a picture of a firework bursting out of the top of the kin but it looks rubbish. I wanted to try a few more shots and play with lighting and camera settings but the battery went flat.

Just nipped outside to take some obligatory "dying pumpkin" pics.
I was surprised to find that Jason, Regan, Ted, Fulci, Night Owl and Deadeye stil looked totally fine. The kins were still solid too, just a little mouldy in places. Cthulhu on the other hand...

Click pic to enlarge.

The fireworks pic is awesome! Great job!

With so much light from the fireworks, it's hard to get a good shot of something in the foreground, especially in the dark of night. Too bad about the battery but at least it didn't go dead before you got any pictures :D

Love the fireworks shot. I've experimented with different types of fireworks and sparklers, when photographing the watermelons I carve in July. They make for unique shots.

Sad to see your pumpkins, lying on their death bed, beside the coffin. They lived a good life though. No regrets, old friends. Let your pumpkin spirit take flight. You'll all be reincarnated next year.
