Hatbox - Ghost

This was carved on a Funkins Black Classic 8 Purchased at AC-Moore..

This is the Foam used in all Funkins Retail Pumpkins. (Micheals, AC-Moore, Joannes, Menards, Hobby Lobby)
So it don't matter if you buy a Black, Orange, White, Pink Pumpkins they will glow the same.

The Funkins Sold online uses a different Foam. and that foam glows brighter
Funkins Website, and the pumpkins on my site. are Different Foam.

For this carve I used a 15 watt Bulb... Could not get a good glow with a 5 watt.
I think a 5 watt will work well for cut-out patterns/stencils.

For some reason, Funkins decided to still add some light block to the foam.
All the samples I tested, and recommended glowed much brighter than this in the shaded area's.
there was no clouding in the shaved area's as you see in the hat.

So the Pumpkin Glows well, But It would glow even better with-out any of the block.
We will once again be testing foam with-out the block, for 2015

Latest:

Statue of Iron Mike.
Located at the traffic circle at Randolph and Armistead Streets on Fort Bragg.

It's Already Boxed - But think the Bulb is too bright in the photo

Need to try Some new Wattages for these Funkins (for shaded Carves) - My Guess a 10 watt would work good.
And I have NONE - LOL Will grab a Few and See - Something Between a 5 watt and 15.

5 watt not enough
15 watt too Bright (as used in the Photo)

Thanks Sonic - and I do Drink - LOL

I'm the Bad boy of pumpkin carving :D

I'm going to run out tomorrow - and grab a whole bunch of different Bulbs, I really need to find the perfect bulb for this Kin.
Out of all the Funkins Sizes out there, I found that the classic #8 is the one that will work best for me...
It's tall and wide, So Portraits And Logo's will work well on it...

Now I have to find the Perfect bulb for the perfect Glow...

I have Said this For years ! I really Do Admire How Some of you guys can take Perfect Photo's of these glowing pumpkins.
Me - I SUCK at it ! and It really is my biggest Problem, for the carving looks a thousand times better in person.
I just get lucky with a good shot once in a while... But most photo's I take are sucky...
