Awesome, can't wait to see more of the TMNT stuff. My brother had many of the first action figures they made when the first animated series came out. He pulled them out to look at them recently and was surprised to find that the elastics that held all of the limbs on had rotted away and he was left with pieces. It was pretty sad!

Displaying has always been my downfall as I live in a small place as well. I really hate getting a cool piece then just putting it out in a box in the garage. :?

Sideshow stuff is way fun! I have a Lando Calrissian and a Princess Leia that I just love. In fact it's time to pull them out of storage and get them back on display. Hmmmm...

Nos, it depends on if your son prefers DC or Marvel.

I'm guessing that with the Avengers being so popular he's going to be more of a Marvel lad :)

I'd recommend checking out the Marvel Select line. They retail for about £20 and are a good size (about 8-9" - no jokes please ), they're solid toys and are good to play with. There are also Marvel Legends which are quite expensive for what they are - about 6" and about £18. They're good and articulated though, so more fun than the Select toys, but not as big or "main stream". Hope that helps - I'll happily ramble more if you need more recommendations!!

How tall are those figures? They look quite small. Do you buy your exhibits online or is there a specialist shop that you go to for toys?

I was looking at that alien figure at toys are us. Any of my neca and mcfarlane stuff I keep in the box just because of the negatives you stated. I use to open them all and pieces would break they wouldn't stand etc. I bought the hallmark ornament instead.
