Thanks for the comments :D Nice Work S.A.M. I see you've found a decent watermelon to carve on to which I find quite hard. The supermarkets are rubbish for melons and I find that the only place to get mine are regular markets on a Saturday morning! Yeah the super markets aren't very good for decent ...

I was itchig to try out my new Zombie pumkins/waren pro carving tools so I bought myself a juicy watermelon to carve, now being the skinflint that I am I have no money in my paypal account so I used one of the free designs from ZP :-) Not particularly summerish and out of season I know but hey: http...

I do have to say though, it's a lot easier with two people. Here is a video I made last year on how to Gut Pumpkins with Power Tools http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_v_KL21PFM Great vid :) Pumpkin gutting on an industrial scale! Looks like it speeds the process up and the pumpkin gutter looks easy ...

All the fruits that are touching the ground now have a bed of straw to rest on to help prevent them from rotting/bruising. I actually think that that will enhance rotting of the pumpkins... Think about it: dirt can get wet, but it won't rot... straw however will. It will keep water longer than the ...

Now all you need are a few pumpkin lights, a pumpkin gutter, and some new ZP stencils and you're all set! ... Funny you should say that, I'm already saving my pennies to spend in the ZP Sickening Store, I've got me eye on some more LED lights and the pumpkin gutter, I don't trust myself with a powe...

That does look good, I'd go see it :D I wonder if it'll be out over here in time for Halloween?

Quite a few pumpkins have shriveled, rotted and fallen from the vine, now this could be down to a number of reasons; incorrect pollination, poor position on the vine or stress caused to the plants with all this rain we're having or indeed a bit of everything! A handful of pumpkins do seem to be surv...

I've never thought about gluing the pattern and cutting through it before reading this, what a great idea! I've always used the dot to dot method and it's a really tedius time consuming job that I hate, so I will be giving this new method a try this year, thanks.

Good idea about the melons, but how much does it cost for a decent sized one or do they ony come in pairs? I mean I'm a thirfty Yorlshireman afterall. I don't know if the Patch Master has posted pics of the zombie pumpkins version of the Warren pro carving tool or not but, I thought I'd post a...

The carving tools feel great to wield erm I mean hold, really well balanced and comfortable. I've never used the old Warren pro tools but the ZP version holds in your hand like a pencil and I can tell it's going to be great at carving those designs! The trouble is I have nothing to carve, I'm now hu...

In my head I'd be all cool, calm James Bond-esque about it and keep the money but in reality I'd be a shaking wreck and would probably need a change of pants if they came looking for the cash  I would have to hand it to the cops too and I'd still be crapping it in case someone came looking for ...

A young lad in England bought a second hand PS2 on ebay for £95 ($195) and got sent a box containing a PS2 and £44,000 ($90,330) cash!! His parents handed it in to the Police which of course is the right thing to do but I can't help thinking I'd have kept it  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/...

Thanks Dan, most of what I know I looked up in books and from asking local allotment owners I know, this time last year I knew nowt about growing pumpkins and now it seems I'm a bit obsessive! I've no idea if any of this advice is going to grow any decent pumpkins, we will find out in a couple...

Hi all :D Just a quick update I've lost two pumpkins to the slugs :x The fruit must smell more attractive than the beer now. I've had to resort to using slug pellets which I didn't want to do as my neighbours have cats and I have two dogs, so I had to be careful to only put it down very lightly arou...
