Re: Plague Doctor (done)

And a rather timely house call it is. A messenger of miasma during the bubonic plague, the Plague Doctor swoops in with his bird-like mask, hoping to p...

Bravo020, I agree with what you say about the Stick 'n Carve. You have to stay aware when carving smaller details that are close together. In spots like that, it helps to work quickly, cutting out pieces that are right next to the previous one you cut. Don't give the paper too much time to melt. I d...

Thanks DeadKing. I suppose any pumpkin pattern character with facial hair is a likely candidate to become one of my costumes.

Yes yes, let's see some pics here (I think I saw a peek on social media). I'll say... I'm flattered if one of my patterns/costumes inspired you. The Mad Scientist theme is a fun one. Your lab coat looked great with the splatters. And I think you topped my goggles, with your Ecto version. I hope you ...

Big Jaws fan, so I can appreciate this. I hope they get to see the movie when they're older, and appreciate what they were dressed as.

I'm glad you always do costumes, Raven. Based on your booing/hissing at hubby's lack of effort, I'm thinking that dressing up is important to you, and something you'll continue. Love the ghost idea. I'd like to try something like this eventually. I love ghost costumes are are pure white, with elemen...

Ryan's 2019 Halloween Costume - The Misfortune Teller

In keeping with my "Fortune of the Zombie Pumpkins" theme, I was a creepy "misfortune teller" for Halloween. And my crystal ball predicts that I'll be stuck with this "Zoltar" style facial hair until the rest of my chin hair grows back. I hope you all had a fortunate Halloween! https://www.zombiepum...

Unicorns (done)

Parents often tell me that their little girls are disappointed when they can't find a unicorn pumpkin pattern. So I will answer that call, but I have to offer two versions. One is a pretty unicorn and the other is a total night-mare. I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but what I'm saying is... it's ...

Sloaner, I understand the concern about getting fewer patterns, if I stopped production sooner. But if that was the planned schedule, I think I'd compensate for that by releasing more patterns earlier, with a target number in mind to match expectations. The consensus seems to be... people don't mind...

Even if the size had to be smaller, it stills works, because he has a rotting face... so you can't really go wrong. Even if teeth fall out or skin cracks... it's appropriate!

Glad to see you carve this one so quickly, Beast. I know you were hoping for more scary patterns like this.

I tried looking for reference images, and just kept finding photos of makeup artists who did Lydia looks. Hehe. Do you have a super high resolution reference photo of Miss Deetz?

Wait... nevermind.

Yay. That's good news... we can always use more shows like this. Also, I'll say that Shudder is doing pretty well for itself lately. They started with a library of pretty no-name horror movies, but they've really established themselves as a must-have service for horror fans, with some good original ...

The three of them look awesome together. And the props look accurate to me! Having a replica of that book sitting around your home is a great conversation piece, I can attest to that.

I notice a lot of people online calling them "Tammy and Tom Morrow" instead of "Marrow." Their names (especially Tom) are sort of a double play-on-words. I guess the "Tomorrow" pun is stronger than the bone "marrow" pun. :skull:
