Rotating the Wardrobe

Sweaty summer has arrived, and that means there’s only one season between us and the chilling chills of the Halloween season. In honor of summer, the prices on all Zombie Pumpkins t-shirts have been slashed, some as low as $5. They’re practically being given away!

One reason to clear out the the old merchandise is to make room for some new goods. There will be an all-new t-shirt design available this fall. And possibly other clothing as well. Which brings me to the question… what sort of apparel would you like to see Zombie Pumpkins imagery emblazoned upon?

Long-sleeve shirts? Hoodies? Tank tops? Kid’s shirts? Something else? Let your screams be heard and the Great Pumpkin might grant your wish.

Have you ever thought of having not just your logo, but your actual DESIGN pics on a t-shirt?
I’ll bet your customers would love the chance to have their favorite design on a shirt!—or even a combo of 2 such as a Gomez/Morticia or Frank/Bride combo.

    Think about it.
NO OTHER pumpkin design site or comapny does it.

    Hope this helps. Happy Haunting!

    PS
I’m still working on a MEDUSA design.

  2. Mom Says:

T shirts and long sleeve tees would be my wish and YES all in black unless you make some kids shirts – those should be in orange. I can’t wait to see the new design for this year. I am very excited.

  3. Ryan Says:

Sean – Indeed I have thought about using the pumpkin stencil designs on shirts (in fact, I’ve had to stop others from doing it, so I can reserve the right to do it myself).

Only concern is… shirts cost a bit of money to have screen printed ahead of time (and can’t be printed as needed, on demand). So which pattern designs would I print as shirts? There are so many to choose from, I’d hate to be stuck with 50 Gomez shirts that nobody wants.

  4. Majek Says:

I would like some of the pumpkin patterns as a shirt too. Do you have access to the web server logs to see which pumpkin patterns are downloaded more then others? They may give a hint at which are the more popular designs.

You made the Danzig design after I requested it, I would certainly buy a shirt of it too!

  5. Ryan Says:

Majek – Yep, I have plenty of stats on which are the most popular patterns overall. I guess that’s the best thing to go by. Maybe I’ll give it a try!

  6. Mercedes Says:

What if you gave people the option to order the design they want on a shirt, in color and size desired, then print the shirts as ordered? I know I myself wouldn’t want to be limited as a customer on what designs I get to choose from, I would like to be able to say “Hey, I want ________ on a blue/pink/black shirt”, and know that I could.

Also, I wouldn’t mind seeing the designs on all kinds of shirts: hoodies, tanks, long n short-sleeved tees, even a single large stencil emblazoned down the leg of a pair of PJ bottoms?

PS: LOVE your designs! I get the full access membership every year!

  7. Ryan Says:

Mercedes – Oh, I’d love to be able to offer shirts on demand, letting the customer choose the color and design. But with the way I have shirts made (professionally screen printed) they take some time to get printed, so a custom request made during the later weeks of October wouldn’t be delivered in time for Halloween. Also, my shirts have to be printed in minimum quantities of 24, because there are setup costs involved in creating the screens which are used for the printing process.

I realize there are other methods of printing on shirts, but I hesitate to experiment with these possibly lesser quality processes just because they can be printed faster. Plus, I’m so busy in October fulfilling shop orders, answering emails and designing patterns I don’t think I’d have the resources to also juggle a bunch of custom orders. It’s more streamlined to try to offer 1 or 2 new shirts each year, that hopefully appeal the as many people as possible.

Thanks for the ideas and for supporting ZP with the full access memberships!

I think that anything that has to do with Twilight’s Edward and his girl Bella would go over especially well for the Twi-hard fans if you could make it and maybe on the back of the shirt there could be the design of scary werewolf claws ripping through the shirt! If there was glitter on his skin it would give it special effects like the movie…

    Also…from Harry Potter:
If you had the head of the character whose ‘name cannot be spoken’ appearing to come out of the shirt in glow-in-the-dark paint it would be super cool…

Cannot wait to get my stencils this year! Love your work!

I think that in the way of clothing itself, more hoodies and long sleve thermal shirts would be a wise investment, t-shirts as well mind you, but I’m thinking since its the fall season that Halloween resides in, it would be more practical.

Hoodies are a must. Thats a given…I think maybe using some of the vine designs might be nice as well to throw on hoodies sleeves maybe. also on the lower half of the hoodies putting zombiepumpkins.com would be a nice touch so people can see it while u wear it and come check it out…

I don’t wear them myself but I think ball caps would be a big hit. Also baseball shirts, jerseys, fleece jackets, golf shirts, down filled vests. I agree that warm stuff is best since it is near winter and getting cold in most places that time of year. I think for patterns on shirts that would go over well would be pretty poison, geletan skull, i’d stick with your orginals. And winter hats or touques would be awesome, but just light ones not the big woolen ones.

I like to see shirts in 3XL and night of the zombier pumpkins t-shirt made more of and in 3xl and more logo zombie pumpkins stuff made like posters, hats, inflatables and some light up zombie pumpkins decorations

  13. Joe B Says:

A zip hoodie would be awesome!

    Howabout Pirate Thongs? ;)
